Dear Covenant Community,
As an ongoing reminder of our standard practices related to protecting the physical health of our community, please continue to follow the protocols below:
parents conduct daily assessments of their students’ health;
students who are showing symptoms of any communicable illness should remain at home until they are symptom-free for at least 24 hours;
students with symptoms of any communicable illness may be sent home.
Please also pay special attention to the following guidelines specific to COVID-19:
students remain at home if experiencing fatigue, body aches, headache, congestion/runny nose, sore throat, fever (even low-grade, 99), cough, shortness of breath, loss of taste and smell, diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting;
parents should consider having students tested for COVID-19 (PCR only) if the above symptoms have continued for more than 24 hours;
parents should notify the school clinic of their students’ symptoms so that nurses may check in with them throughout the school day.
As we continue with our established protocols as outlined above, we will also continue our monitoring and contact tracing procedures. Should a close contact be determined, parents of the student or students affected will be contacted directly by school personnel to walk them through the proper procedures relative to their individual students. General updates will continue to be communicated to the entire school via email. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact one of our nurses at (317) 390-0202.
For the Kingdom,
Andy Goodwin, Ed.D.
